Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 follow below.
The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
The third episode finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of characters who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.
The Soldiers table features Teor (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Why Split the Party?
Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the start that having everyone at one table would be impossible.
This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, connecting the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the combat party.
Reasons to Leave
To begin with, the team understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the enemy group.
An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose passing kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his own means, invading the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and stealing all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, above the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each member has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and closest confidant, wants vengeance.
- The knowledgeable figure is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead freed him, have no other options.
- However, their position as key figures in the powerful family could assist the team reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, Teor vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him anywhere.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are hunted by the authorities that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and The healer turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
- Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.
This means them little choice but to travel to Timmony in quest for the traitor.
What’s Next?
