Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched operations across the region in response for a significant and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an area in the area of the main base of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any damage is unclear and the United States has remained silent.
Airspace Engagements
In other parts of the Middle East, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house US military bases - reported they have engaged and destroyed missiles in their air space.
In the Qatari capital, Qatar's defence ministry said it had intercepted a number of projectiles apparently targeting the Al Udeid Air Base, the largest American base in the region.
Iran's Declared Retaliation
Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was attacking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That initial attack - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far struck locations associated with the the regime, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to rise up against the leadership.
Additional Developments
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israeli military stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"Emirati air defenses responded to the missiles with notable success and shot down a several projectiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted missile fragments fell on a residential area in the capital, causing some material damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force is stationed at the Al Dhafra base, to the south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
